This tumblr was created to share and catalog my experience with growing my first backyard garden. Yay!
Ronnie already has 5 or so little green tomatoes on his tomato plant! They are doing well.
I moved my little pepper plants in to the yard. They seem to be doing pretty well.
Salad greens are doing well.
Spinach! Transferred all of my seedlings to the new backyard. The spinach is started to look perky again, and getting really big!
Transplanted my little tomato seedlings to a hanging planter! Only three little babies made it, but I’ve got some more on the way.
A baby fig?!?!? I’m pretty sure it is… here is my finger nail beside it for scale.
Beet seeds! I’m so excited. I planted a ton of these guys… I hope they come up! It’s funny, these look a lot like my rainbow chard seeds.
Okra seeds! I started lots of these guys today in the new garden.
First harvest! These guys are coming up left and right.
A pepper!! My first hint at an edible vegetable. I am giddy. <3
The salad greens are actually starting to look like salad greens!
Finally starting to see some tomato seedlings pop-up. No action from the zuccini, though.
My cilantro is flowering. It was in the same pot with the dill for so long, though, that the top leaves look like dill!
